Description: As a former 21st century skills program who relied heavily on technology and project based learning, I was thrilled to begin learning about the plethora of programs available for students to use free of charge. As we, the LC, became more aware of the many programs some of our colleagues were using, I like would then share the programs with my students. I had several students who began using Animoto, Glogster, Vuvox, etc..., on a regular basis.

Analysis: As my awareness of the many web 2.0 tools increased, I began searching the internet for sources for easy access of the many web 2.0 tools. I, like many educators just don't have enough time to search and learn about all the web programs students can use. I did find several sources that house many, many web 2.0 applications in one site. My goal is to post these sites on our class wiki so students can explore the variety of applications available to use for a project.

Reflection: One benefit of working with older students is that I don't have to be a master in the web applications. Often my students can figure out how to use the program in a relatively short amount of time. A much shorter amount of time than it would take me to figure it out. I will often suggest several programs to students, while strongly discouraging powerpoint. I find students are quickly able to figure out and like applications more than others.
